A Gift of Food for the Feast
As we celebrate our union before God and our community, we find great joy in the presence of our loved ones. In the spirit of the ancient wedding feasts, the newlywed couple invites you to bring a food item to share if you so desire.
While we will provide a hearty foundation of hot main courses, we welcome your culinary contributions as a beautiful gift to complement our merrymaking. To ensure a smooth flow for the celebration, we graciously invite you to bring an item from one of the “Guild Categories” below that is ready to serve at room temperature:
Grape clusters, fresh fruit platters, berries, or seasonal fruit harvests.
Rustic loaves, pre-sliced rolls, or savory biscuits to accompany the meal.
Sparkling ciders, fruit juices, or refreshing botanical teas. (Non-Alcoholic)
Cookies, handheld sweets, or tarts that can be enjoyed easily.
Important Notices
A Temperate Celebration: In accordance with parish guidelines, this is an alcohol-free event. We kindly ask that no outside spirits be brought onto the church grounds.
Ready to Serve: Since our hearth space (ovens and fridges) is limited, please ensure your gift of food is ready to enjoy at room temperature. Items that are easy to “grab and go” are especially appreciated to help the feast line flow smoothly!
Feast Safety: To care for all our guests, please include a small card with your dish listing any major allergens (nuts, dairy, gluten).
Labeled Wares: If you choose to bring a serving dish or any utensils from home, please label them with your name on the bottom to help ensure it makes it back home with you!
Bringing Day Of: To ensure the food is ready to go after Mass, you are encouraged to drop off your food at Carmody Hall at least 15 minutes before the Mass starts. The groomsmen will be able to assist.
